My name is RJ Lane! I am a Filmmaker/YouTuber based in LA with a love for all things fantasy and animation. 

 

With my films, I aim to tell stories that turn all aspects of life into impactful moments, blend fiction and reality, and have my work be both an escape and reflection for my audience. To do this I create dramas, comedies, documentaries, and most recently action films. 

 

With my YouTube content, I aim to bring the anime community together and make entertaining, informative, opinionated, and overall fun videos for new and old anime fans. 

 

My YouTube and film career goals go hand in hand, as I use my content creation to further practice my skill sets such as directing, writing, editing, and cinematography. Trying out different methods within a YouTube video is a great way to develop new techniques to then use while I’m on a professional set. This has also led me to connect with other creators of similar interests and goals as we share tips and techniques to further improve our craft. 

 

My end goal is to be able to do both YouTube and filmmaking full-time and create a community and opportunities for others to work in the same field.
